Be carried by the Sicilian Carretto!

Dolce & Gabbana has always stayed faithful to its Italian roots, being inspired from its heritage and lands. Well, this time it is the turn of the Sicilian Carretto, the colourful and heavily-decorated cart drawn by donkeys or horses native to the island of Sicily.

The Sicilian Carretto DG 4278 has just reached Otticanet and we want to be the first to show it to you. So off we went, we set the backstage, called Damiano for the shooting and this time Ilaria was thrilled to pose for all of us.

"I am really enthusiastic to embody what the real Italian soul is about! The frames are unique, with their wooden temples which, in the contrary to what I initially thought, are absolutely light! And it is so nice to feel exactly how a Dolce & Gabbana lady should... Elegant and traditional but at the same time so playful, almost making fun of life! And colours are the true protagonists here! What would life in black n' white be?”

Damiano took out of Ilaria her best! Making her feel like a real Diva on the red carpet at start and then letting her do what se really felt like doing: laughing, smiling, singing in the "Dolce Vita" style.

The temples are always wooden in all four versions, but the front is available in black or white for an ever-green look and orange or blue to fresh up the hottest months of the year!
