A parade of stars at the 61st Grammy Awards

The biggest music night of the year has taken place this past Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Highly anticipated, the 61st annual Grammy Awards ceremony was full of surprises!

For the first time in 15 years, a woman was chosen to host the Grammy. The Recording Academy picked the fabulous Alicia Keys who is a regular of the Grammy night, since she has won 15 times already. Keys was over the moon when she got the news and celebrated the moment with a funny video singing with James Corden. She made a perfect host and entertained the audience with a mash-up of major hits. She even played two pianos at once!

Chlidish Gambino aka Donald Glover won the most important prizes such as "record of the year" and "song of the year". However, he didn't show up to accept the Grammys so we didn't have the chance to see him on the red carpet.

On the other hand, we can say that the night was dominated by women. Many female artists were awarded and this created the opportunity to underline the status of women, send femminist messages and share women's empowerment ideas.

Lady Gaga, above all, won 3 Grammys and performed a live rock version of Shallow, soundtrack of the motion picture A star is born where she is co-star with Bradley Cooper. The song has even won a BAFTA... definitely a glorious night for Miss Germanotta!

Throughout her career, Lady Gaga has shown many bizarre and outrageous outfits...the amazing Celine dress she wore last Sunday was sparkling! The night will be surely rememberd as Cardi B has made history winning the Grammy for "best rap album". It's the first time that a woman gets the award for this category. Unfortunately, the happy moment was ruined by controversy. Some of her fans have also brought up her rivarly with the colleague Nicki Minaj. As a result, Cardi made a video explaining how upset she was and decided to delete her Instagram account. Does this show that the star cannot face criticism? Who knows. It seems we will not see her peculiar and showy outifits for a while, like this one where she wears a fabolous pair of Saint Laurent sunglasses.

The 21 year old Gabi Wilson aka H.E.R. won the award for "best R & B album" and we're sure we will be hearing a lot about her in the future. Very young and very talented - she has been included among the 10 best artists of 2017 by Rolling Stone magazine - she has also received a lot of compliments from her most experienced fellow musicians, such as Wycleaf Jean, Alicia Keys herself, our beloved Rihanna. She seems a determined girl with her own specific style ... starting from the look!
