100% original glasses- How to recognize them?
-

You might have wondered if the glasses you have just seen online were original or not. We often receive emails or calls from Customers who are worried about purchasing a product only to find out that it is not original.

We have therefore put together a list of tips on how to recognize original glasses.

1 CE marking: it stands for European Conformity, the distance between characters must correspond to an upside down C, the writing must be legible and indelible.

2 Codes on the inside of the arms or bridge: when glasses are authentic these details are well defined and printed correctly, while on fake models they are often incorrect and they present imperfections. You can always confront your glasses with pictures you can find on the brands’ official websites or socials.

3 Check the packaging: glasses are often sold with a rigid or soft case with a visible logo of the brand. Inside the case you should find a conformity declaration and a certificate of authenticity when provided by the brand.

4 Quality of materials: the most difficult element to judge is surely the quality of the material, especially if it is the first time you buy a pair of glasses. Original frames are often heavier (especially those in acetate) than fake ones which are usually lighter with a plastic feel to them. Pay attention to the logo and to the finishing touches.
